THE AQUARIUM OF GENOA: Discover the Aquarium of Genoa to immerse yourself in a world of emotions. Let your children live an extraordinary experience of a walk among dolphins, sharks and hundreds of other species that populate the planet’s seas. They will simply be enraptured admiring the shark bay, the large tank dedicated to sea predators. It hosts, in addition to several species of shark from various marine environments, other interesting fish. Near the seabed, for example, you can see two specimens of sawfish. Learn the fascinating secrets of the inhospitable Antarctic continent and sub-Antarctic areas. The species that live there have developed extraordinary adaptations to survive in extreme conditions. The Genoa Aquarium is the only structure in Europe to host some specimens of invertebrates, Antarctic fish, seals and penguins.
The Biosphere: is the scenographic spherical structure of glass and steel located in the Old Port of Genoa, designed by the architect Renzo Piano. It is the place to learn about the fauna and flora of tropical forests, delicate ecosystems threatened by human exploitation.
