WHAT TO DO WHAT TO SEE AND WHAT TO VISIT IN DUBAI MARINA
Dubai Marina is certainly one of the most visited areas in Dubai, not least because it has a real promenade and the largest marina in the world. In this area there are also the magnificent beaches of Dubai. This beautiful and ultra-modern neighborhood, entirely surrounded by immense and extravagant skyscrapers and an immensely large Ferris wheel, is a city within a city. It overlooks the warm waters of the Persian Gulf, with clean beaches, equipped and equipped with all comforts. Here you can stroll in unbridled luxury among palm trees, luxury boutiques and big brands and excellent restaurants. Dubai is a city that was built from the ground up in the mid-2000s and in a very short time has become the largest man-made marina in the world. It has been adorned with an incredible amount of skyscrapers used exclusively as hotels and private apartments, a shopping center developed on four floors, the Dubai Marina Mall, and the promenade that runs along the entire waterfront, much used by residents for doing outdoor sports such as running and skating. It is a wonderful place, also ideal for a relaxing walk, resting on the numerous benches installed every few tens of meters. It is flanked by over 200 excellent restaurants, offering cuisine with foods that come from all over the world.
So, it’s easy to understand why Dubai Marina is the most visited area in Dubai: there are two walking walks: the one called the Walk and the 7km promenade that surrounds the marina, which is difficult to find.
Unlike the old city, modern Dubai is a city designed only for traveling by car and never on foot. But in Dubai Marina there is a magnificent beach with all the comforts and a disproportionate number of skyscrapers occupied by luxury hotels. But it is not just a “vacation” location. Most Europeans and Americans working in Dubai have chosen Dubai Marina as their UAE residence. You can also see this by visiting the supermarkets inside the Marina and the Dubai Mall: there are in fact many products for Europeans with labels in English and even Russian. Dubai therefore confirms itself in the first place as a destination for Westerners.

DUBAI MARINA MALL
Dubai Marina Mall is the commercial hub of the Dubai Marina district. It has four floors and the main entrance is on the Sheikh Zayed Road side, opposite the tram station, but you can also walk there from the metro stop. However, it is advisable to take a taxi. The secondary entrance overlooks the seafront. The four floors consist mainly of large international chain stores, the top floor has a food court and cinema, and the lower floor has a large supermarket. You can use the Dubai Tram which connects Jumeirah Beach Residences to the man-made island of Palm Jumeirah. It passes through many nearby areas and intersects with two subway stations, but it is also possible to move around with a water taxi inside the tourist port. An alternative way to get to Dubai Marina is to spare yourself a leisurely stroll while enjoying the view of skyscrapers and yachts moored by sea taxis.
DUBAI MARINA BEACH
Dubai Marina Beach, or simply “the Beach”, is one of the busiest and most beautiful beaches in the entire city of Dubai. You will enjoy breathtaking scenery with impressive buildings such as the Jumeirah Beach Residence, the Hilton Hotel and the impressive Cayenne Tower. Right in front you can admire the artificial Palm Jumeirah with the iconic Atlantis hotel in the background, also reachable by monorail. The beach is really well maintained. The hotel has a part reserved for its customers, while the rest of the beach is equally divided between a free public part and an equipped part for a fee. The paid beach is quite expensive but the entrance fee includes sun beds, umbrellas and beach towels. The room rate includes the possibility to use the dressing room and the toilet. Well maintained and cared for, however, is also the very beautiful free beach but with limits. In the month of Ramadan (April) it is not possible to eat outside at the tables of the restaurants and it is not possible to plant umbrellas. Moreover, there are months in Dubai that the heat is really hellish and when the temperatures rise well beyond the threshold of tolerability and being in the sun becomes really complicated.
ATLANTIS HOTEL AND THE WATER PARK
The Atlantis Hotel is a true symbol of Dubai. Huge 5-star resort offers more than 1500 bedrooms. It is located right in Palm-Jumeirah, the artificial palm-shaped island and can only be reached by car or by monorail. It is a real engineering masterpiece but also a symbol of excess and boldness. The main building is a princely palace with a huge Arab arch in the center and is certainly one of the most photographed buildings by tourists. This magnificent structure has an inner city where everyone, from children to the busiest businessmen, can find services suited to their needs and even a themed water park. There are also meeting rooms, spa, restaurants, bars, private beach, gardens, boutiques. A real artificial microcosm inspired by the lost world of Atlantis. The Lost Chambers Aquarium is more than just an aquarium: it is a path inside tunnels created inside huge tanks populated by wonderful marine creatures. DUBAI MONORAIL
Dubai Monorail is certainly a curious and intriguing means of transport typical of amusement parks. The elevated monorail runs along the entire artificial island of Palm Jumeirah in all its length, starting from the Gateway station located along Al Sufouh Road up to the Atlantis hotel (Atlantis-Aquaventure station). You can also take the monorail for a sightseeing tour by getting off at the other two other stations along the route as well as an interchange station shortly after the Gateway. To take the Dubai Monorail there is a connection with the Dubai Tram stop number 9. When you get off the tram to reach the monorail you will have to go up the footbridge to cross Al Sufouh Road. Once on the other side, you absolutely do not have to go down the stairs but take the raised covered tunnel and you will enter a parking lot. Right there you will see the “MONORAIL” signs which you will obviously have to follow. Cross the car park along its entire length and you will arrive at the entrance to the Dubai Monorail. Traveling aboard the Dubai Monorail is definitely an experience worth doing. The prices of a ride on the Dubai Monorail are higher than those of the bus or the subway but if you buy a return trip together you will get a small discount. Children under 90 centimeters can travel for free during the opening hours of the monorail, which is from 10am to 10pm, 7 days a week.
The entire journey takes 15 minutes, and thanks to the fact that the monorail is elevated, some otherwise inaccessible structures can be admired.
For example, Logo Island, a private property of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Sometimes his luxurious 159-meter-long yacht moored on the quay stops right there. In the background you will be enchanted by the Burj Al Arab and the Dubai skyline, a fantastic scenography of the city. You will also see the “trunk” of Palm Jumeirah, with its exclusive condominiums with fronds, on which dream villas are built. there are no other ways of seeing them except the monorail because they are all private roads. When the journey draws to a close, you will arrive at the Hotel Atlantis, with its truly iconic shape. It was the first facility to be completed on the entire Palm Jumeirah. Get thrilled with its private beach on the left, while on the right you pass the pools and water features of Aquaventure, one of the two water parks in the city of Dubai (the other is the Wild Wadi Waterpark, built next to the Burj Al Arab). The terminus of the Dubai Monorail is Atlantis-Aquaventure. You are right in the heart of Palm Jumeirah from where you will have the magnificent view of the hotel or have fun at the water park. Delight yourself with these dream scenarios.
