THE VALLEY OF THE TEMPLES OF AGRIGENTO: on a rocky ridge that delimits to the south the plateau on which the classical town once stood, the remains of Doric temples still emerge, of uncertain attribution: from east to west, from 127 to 70 altitude, Hera (Juno) Lacinia, Concordia, Heracles (Hercules), Olympian Zeus (Jupiter), Castor and Pollux (Dioscuri) and Hephaistos (Vulcan).
